Taiwan Mood Barometer Survey, First Half of September 2014

(TISR) The steady decline in President Ma Ying-jeou's approval rating continued over the first ten days of September, according to the latest Taiwan Mood Barometer Survey (TMBS) (in Chinese).

The president's approval rating fell 1.6 percentage points to 15.6 percent while his disapproval rating increased 2.2 percentage points bringing it to 72.4 percent. This is the third consecutive TMBS survey to show a decline in the president's approval rating after his approval number spiked 6.2 percentage points to 21 percent in the second half of July survey.
