President Tsai Calls for New Model for Cross-Strait Ties

(CNA) President Tsai Ing-wen has stated in an interview that after the 19th Party Congress, hopefully Taiwan and China can begin to think about a new cross-strait model. She said if both sides continue to stick to their own beliefs, they will be unable to handle the more volatile issues in the region. The original interview, found here, includes a transcript and video of the interview conducted in Chinese.
