'5 Plus 2' Program Aims to Elevate Industrial Base: Tsai

 (CNA) In an interview, President Tsai Ing-wen announced her administration's "5 plus 2" plan is meant to strengthen the nation's industrial base and does not represent excessive involvement of the government in Taiwan's economy. Tsai hopes this plan will lead to an increase in Taiwan's competitiveness in the global market.
