China Ties Could Change After CCP Congress: Expert

(Taipei Times, By Sean Lin) Central Police University professor Tung Li-wen said that due to China's current conflicts in the Pacific region, cross-strait relations may deteriorate following the 19th National Congress of the CCP. Two ministers in the 19th Congress are vehemently against Taiwanese independence and are outspoken critics of Taiwan and its policies, but they will both be replaced after the congress, at which point experts claim that relations may improve.
